Packet Pick-up

Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon, Des Moines University, 3440 Grand Avenue, Des Moines.

You are required to pick-up your race packet in person.  You must have a valid driver's license to do so.

Race Start Time

8:00 a.m., waves starting every 3 minutes. 

Note: this race is not chip timed.

Race Course

Both the run and bike courses start from the beach area.

The run course is a loop course inside the park [starting off on the road and then loops onto the parks bike path] this 5k course will be run twice.  The bike course is a straight up and down course [departing the park onto 142^nd going straight out until almost Alleman, specifically .9 miles beyond 16^th St., and turning around to come back]. 

Participation Rules:

D. O. Athlon for Life is an USAT sanctioned event.  All USAT rules will be enforced.  Please see www.USAT.org for a complete list of race rules.

• You are required to pick-up your race packet in person.  You must have a valid driver’s license to do so.
• Every athlete must sign an Event Waiver Form to participate, no exceptions.  This form will be provided at packet pick-up. 
• Only participants are allowed in the transition area.  No additional equipment [wheels, helmets etc.] will be allowed in this area.  No glass items in this area please.
• All participants must wear ANSI, Snell or CPSC approved helmets.  Chin straps must be fastened whenever bike is mounted.
• Use restroom facilities provided by the venue.  Anyone caught failing to do so may be disqualified and no refund will be given.
• No assistance other than offered by race officials or medical support may be used.
• Uses of headphones, mp3 players, ipods etc. are not allowed on race course.

Refund Policy

No cash refund will be given for any reason.
