Westside Track Club USATF Youth Cross Country Meet On October 21, Westside Track Club will host a USATF Youth Cross Country Meet, at Valley Southwoods Freshman High School, 625 S. 35th Street, West Des Moines. The meet is for youth ages 14 and under, and will be staged in two races. A 3K (1.86 miles) race for ages 12 and under will begin promptly at 1:00pm, followed by a 4K (2.48 miles) race for ages 13 and 14. There will be six age/gender groups competing in the two races. 10 & under girls, 10 & under boys, 11-12 girls, 11-12 boys, 13-14 girls and 13-14 boys. Age group determination is based on your age at 12/31/07. Teams may compete, but are not required for participation. A team must have at least 4 but no more than 8 members of the same age/gender group. The entry fee is $6 if registered by 10/19/07 (over the phone registration is OK), or $8 for registrations after 10/19/07. Race day registration is allowed, and will begin at 12:30pm.
